The Monessen Back Brick for SR42A Fireplaces is a cinch to pop in, giving your fireplace a fresh, clean look. It's built tough, so it can handle all that fiery heat like a champ and won't crack under pressure. This replacement rear refractory panel slides right into place, creating a smooth, finished appearance for your Majestic 42 inch Soverign fireplace. It's a solid choice for keeping your hearth looking sharp and functioning well for ages.
WARNING: This part is designed to be used with a product that operates with one of the following fuel sources: liquid propane, natural gas, wood, or wood pellets. This product and the fuel used to operate this product, and the products of combustion of such fuel, can expose you to chemicals including benzene, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. I need to replace the fire brick back wall in my 1990 mobile home. Do your panels come in different sizes? Most back walls I see are too big.
The Monessen Back Brick on this page is a factory replacement panel made specifically for Monessen SR42A fireplaces. It is not offered in other sizes and will not fit other units. If you share the manufacturer and model number from your fireplace's rating plate, we can check for the correct replacement panel.
If your fireplace is a factory-built wood-burning unit, you can use universal refractory panels that you trim to size with a masonry blade or tile saw. These panels can be used on the back, side, and floor. Options include the Hargrove 28 Inch Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panel - Single Pack, the Hargrove 40 Inch Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panel - Double Pack, the MC Refractory 24 x 33 Small Brick Refractory Fireplace Panel, the MC Refractory 22 x 39 Large Brick Refractory Fireplace Panel, and the MC Refractory 12 x 24 Smooth Refractory Fireplace Panel. These universal panels are for wood-burning fireplaces only and must not be used in gas or direct vent fireplaces.

Thank you for the photos. The data plate shows a Majestic MR42 wood-burning fireplace. The back brick on this page is designed for Monessen/Majestic SR42A fireplaces and will not fit your model. Manufacturers typically do not publish detailed dimensions for model-specific parts, as each part is designed and approved only for its specific unit. Therefore, we cannot provide exact dimensions for this part. As an alternative, we offer a cut-to-fit panel that is 28" wide by 24" high and approximately 1" thick, which would need to be cut on-site. You can find it here: CPF-42428.

Could you please provide the dimensions for this panel to confirm it's the correct one? The overall width of my fireplace is 42 inches, but the back panel is only about 24 inches due to sloped sides and the frame. Thank you.
