Which Hargrove refractory panel is compatible with the Superior B836?
1 Answer
The Hargrove refractory panels are about 1 inch thick; if this is close to your factory panel thickness, any of the Hargrove panels will work. They will need to be cut to size on site.

We have a wood-burning fireplace with an insert. If we remove the insert would we need vented gas logs or unvented?

If your fireplace and chimney is still in the appropriate condition to burn wood after removing the insert, you can use either vented or ventless gas logs, depending on local codes (if applicable). If you were to remove the insert and were left with a functional wood burning fireplace, it would be acceptable to install gas logs.
