This feature allows you to easily add an optional gas log set if you prefer a gas fireplace instead of a wood-burning fireplace. Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 11" inner diameter.

If this fireplace is installed at floor level, what is the recommended mantel height?
The required mantel clearance for this model is 12 inches above the fireplace opening, with a maximum allowable mantel projection of 12 inches. Please see the attached image illustrating this. Therefore, if installed at floor level, the minimum distance required from the floor to the underside of a mantel would be 47.125 inches.
