The order portion of this Napoleon Vittoria direct vent fireplace says to "Choose burner assembly", "Choose Facing Kit", and "Choose Insert Finish". Are these options or are they necessary for a functional fireplace?
By Brennan W. on May 12, 2015
Answer:These are indeed necessary for the full installation of this unit.

Can this unit be side wall vented? Also, I would want to run the vent pipe out the back of the unit through the floor to the floor joists to an exterior wall. Is this possible?
By eFireplaceStore on August 12, 2014
Answer:This unit can indeed be vented horizontally to an outside wall. Depending on the height of the floor joists, the vent piping may be able to be run through the joist cavity. It all comes down to maintaining proper clearances.

I want to replace a "Heat-N-Glo " unit (model SL-350TRS-C)-- top vented. This has a 6 5/8 inch top vent opening. Can the NPL-GD19N replace this without modification?? If not, what adaptors / modification is required?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on January 22, 2013
Answer:Per the information I was able to find for this unit, it should be using Heat-N-Glo SLP series direct vent piping. This pipe is specific to Heatilator/Heat N Glo products and is not intended to be adapted to any other manufacturers. As such, the existing pipe would need to be removed before installing the GD-19 and Napoleon pipe would need to be used in its place.

What venting pipe and termination vent box would I need for this model?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on March 7, 2014
Answer:This direct vent fireplace utilizes Napoleon's 4" x 7" flexible direct vent gas pipe. You can see the appropriate items in the "Venting Components" tab on this fireplace's item page.

For this fireplace (Vittoria GD-19), I want the GS-66 variable speed fan kit with thermostat control, and also the F-60 remote. Are the fan kit and remote compatible? I ask since I read an answer you provided for the remote control where you said to make sure the fireplace is compatible with a remote that has a thermostat. Also, when the remote commands the fireplace to start, will it start the fire and the fan at the same time, or does the fan stay on the entire time?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on October 13, 2013
Answer:The F-60 remote is indeed compatible with this particular fireplace, as is the GS-66 fan kit. However, the remote does not offer direct control of the fan. The remote will control the on/off operation of the unit and allow you to program a set temperature that the unit will cycle to maintain. However, the fan use a thermostatic switch to activate. Once the fireplace is turned on and power is activated to the fan, the fan switch will begin to heat up. Once it has reached adequate temperature, the fan will turn on. If you wish the fan speed can be changed by adjusting the included rheostat. You may also turn the rheostat completely off if you do not want the fan to come on.

By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on November 29, 2011
