We can see the mantel style you like in the first photo, and the second photo shows one of your fireplaces mid-installation with a gas insert already framed in.Before we can recommend a specific mantel, we need a bit more detail on the measurements. A mantel is sized to the finished inside width and height of the legs after the tile facing is installed, not to the raw fireplace or framed opening. Could you please clarify whether the 42-inch wide by 42-inch tall measurement is the opening before the tile is added or the size you expect after the 6-inch tile is installed? Also, please let us know if the opening is the same width all the way to the back or if it tapers, and whether the 52-inch wide by 48-inch tall figure is the finished size after the tile facing is in place or the rough framed opening in the wall.Once we have the finished inside width and height that the tile facing will leave, we can match it to a specific Pearl Mantels surround that will fit properly. This depends on the type of fireplace. Is it prefabricated or masonry? If it's a prefabricated unit, please provide the manufacturer and model number so we can determine the required clearances to combustible materials.
