Very happy with service and product

The first screen we received was damaged, probably during mailing, but the service department responded swiftly, and sent a replacement. It is now installed, and loos good and works well. Advice on what product to purchase was also excellent. Thank you!

Great product for the price

After reading the reviews I was skeptical as to the quality of these doors. Even though they are the only option for my fireplace, I wasn’t sure they’d be worth the money. So far they have exceeded my expectations! They came in great shape right out of the box. All panels were aligned perfectly and I didn’t have to adjust at all. They are made from decent aluminum that isn’t too flimsy. The doors feel solid and I don’t feel like they are going to break from normal use. They are installed super easily and are easily removed for cleaning (if you want). They do drastically reduce the draft when the fireplace is not in use, though don’t get rid of it totally (they aren’t designed to do that) as it isn’t a sealed door. Can’t really see any negatives to getting them. They will pay for thenselves over the years just with the reduced energy costs of limiting draft. No down side yet! Well worth the investment.

They're OK with a little tweaking

The doors arrived on time and were very easy to install. However, after I initially installed them they were significantly out of alignment. Another annoying problem is that the glass panels were not all installed in the same orientation. You can tell this because the small labeling on the individual panes were different. Whereas the label on one would be upper right, some would be lower left etc. To fix this, I had to completely disassemble the panels, re-orient the panels and reassemble. With some finessing I was able to get the doors aligned and the panels oriented in a symmetric fashion. If you are not as persnickity as me, you can just hang them as-is. Also, the handles are of poor quality and one of mine broke immediately. But, for the price and ease of installation not too bad

Pros

ease of installation

Cons

glass panels not oriented uniformly handles are not very durable

Poorly assembled

While the doors have an excellent appearance to them for the price point, the product as received required a lot of work before install. The glass of each pane was not correctly centered, which required adjustment so that the doors would not have gaps between them, also they required tilting (side to side / top to bottom) to get the upper and lower gaps parallel. ( only so much adjustment you can get out of the fireplace frame adjusters. After getting all that corrected, and this may be nit picking, but the glass on 2 of the doors were upside down and inside out in comparison to the other doors (noticed the etched / stamped mfg name on the corners of the glass panes), So it all had to come apart again, and start all over. Once all that was corrected, the function and appearance was what I would expect for doors of that price point.

Pros

Good appearance and function.

Cons

Not well assembled, requires a large amount of rework, and you need to be mechanically minded, to be able to get them right.

Great fit, clean look!

These doors were pretty simple to install. The only issue was the factory assembly. I had to correct part of a sloppy assembly but after the adjustment everything was fine. In all, with the minor adjustments it took about 45 minutes to install. I would buy again for sure.

Pros

Easy to install, clean minimalist look

Cons

Had to make simple corrections to factory assembly.
