Yes, we would recommend high-heat paint such as the Stove Bright brand.

Fred C. from Virginia asked:
I am looking for weldable 8x10-inch pipe for a wood stove chimney.
I am looking for weldable 8x10-inch pipe for a wood stove chimney.
We offer 8-inch diameter stovepipe with laser-welded seams that may be suitable for your wood stove chimney connector. For instance, we have the Heat-Fab 8-Inch Diameter Welded Black Stovepipe - 36-Inch Length and the Heat-Fab Welded Black Adjustable Stovepipe - 8-Inch Diameter, which extends up to 70 inches. Both are in stock; however, the 36-inch length is a special order and typically ships within 3-4 weeks, as does the adjustable pipe. We do not currently stock a single piece of weldable stovepipe that is 10 feet long. To achieve this length, you would need to connect multiple shorter sections. It is important to note that stovepipe, also known as a chimney connector, is generally intended for use only within the same room to connect your wood stove to the chimney. It is not permitted to pass through walls or ceilings. When venting needs to go through a wall or ceiling, it must transition to Class A insulated chimney pipe. Could you please specify if you are looking for stovepipe (the connector from the stove to the chimney) or Class A chimney pipe for the entire chimney run?

Are DuraVent and DuraTech the same pipe?
Are DuraVent and DuraTech the same pipe?
DuraVent is the name of the manufacturer that makes DuraTech. Not all pipes labeled with the DuraVent name are compatible. Anything labeled DuraTech should be paired with DuraTech only.
