How many feet of venting is needed for a wood-burning stove to work properly?
    1 Answer
The proper chimney height for a wood stove will depend on its location.  First, the stove itself will have a minimum chimney height requirement that must be met regardless.  Additionally, the chimney itself must be at least two feet higher than anything within ten feet of any obstructions all the way around.

What size brush do I need for a 11 x 11 chimney? Does it need to be slightly larger to get a good, snug fit?

    1 Answer
The recommended brush size would be 11" x 11".

I have a brick and mortar fireplace built in 1910. We have concerns for safety so we do not use it currently. How do I begin to check the chimney and fit it for a liner?

    1 Answer
The first thing you should do is have a chimney sweep inspect and clean the chimney. He can then advise on your options and installation of a suitable liner.
