What is the mantel made of? I cant tell if its stone or wood.

Is this fireplace stone actually brown and not grey? I read a comment that when the fireplace arrived it was grey.

Beautiful Fireplace
We love our new fireplace and the look it brought to our living room. Assembly is very easy and straightforward. The fireplace itself is realistic and seems better built than cheaper fireplaces we’ve had. Overall we’re very pleased and would order again.
